The sales promoti o n department of th e phono
g raph division of th e Brunswick-Balke-Collen
der Co. introduced a ne w idea in the compila
tion of its record supplem e nt with the July list.
The new Brunswick supple ment consists of a
tw elve-page folder, conveni e ntly sized and li s t
ing in strong bold type the va riou s classes of
n !cords featured in that particular month, ac
companied by small illu strations of a rt is ts mak
ing the records. There is very littl e descriptive
matter in the listings, t h e main idea b eing to
feature th e names of th e records as stron gly as
possible in order to gi ve Brunswick dealer s an
opportunity t o thoroughly appr ec iate the tim e li
n es s and impo r tance of the vari o us recordin gs .
O ne e ntire section of the new suppl e ment give s
a n§s u1l1 e of the re cord s prese nt ed during the
previou s s ix months, making the !ru pplement
up-to-date. John F. Ditzell, mana ger of the
sales prom o tion departm e nt, is respon s ible for
this new sup plement, and the reception it has
re ceived from Brunswick d ea le rs reflects the
wi sdom of hi s decision to ma ke a change in
