(Can.) Federated Budget
WINNIPEG, CAN., December 13.-The Winnipeg
Fede ra ted Bud get, which gath ers the funds for
the collective ch a rit y organizations of thi s city,
was re ce ntl y enriched by a co ntribution of $7,500
from J ose ph X. H earst and h is wife, which is
the larges t single don a tion recorded. Mr.
Hearst is president of Hea rs t Music Publi shers,
Ltd., of Canada, the head offi ce of which is in
this city . This la rg e contribution was an­
nounced in an almost full-page a dver tisement in
severa l papers as a final publicity drive by the
Federated Bud ge t Board of Winnipe g, Inc.
