Malott e, organist at Shea' s HippodrollJe and
well-k nown songwriter, ran a special feature

You," last week. The so ng, written by lirse lla
Deitrich-Hollinsh ead, a Buffalo gir l, has reached
s uccess loca ll y. It appeared some time ag o on
the Imperial roll and its popularity on the roll
induced its writer to ha\'c the song pub li s hed.

Co., this cit y. Mr. Ma lotte had moving pic­
tures taken of the inside workings of the
pla ye r-piano, and of the revolvin g roll, "I Want
You." The picture s wcre thrown on the scr·een
of tlw theat re , whi le the song was s ung by
Mr. Malotte and p layed by him on the oq~an.
Deale r s throughout the city say that it was
th e bes t plug for the d ea ler handling ali kind s
of musical instruments th ey have eve r known.
Not on ly does t he feature help the dealer, pub­
li s her, the roll manufacturer a nd th e song­
writer, but it is great advertis in g for the player­
piano. Mr'. Malotte has applied fo·r a copy­
ri g ht of the innovation and w ill use it in fea­
turin g his own song, "Br in g Da ck That O ld­
Fashioned Waltz," also played by himself on
the Q R S roHs . This idea g ives the audien ce
a clear concept ion of the pla ye r Cl-Fld ·simu ltan e­
ous ly puts over a song.
