$ 1,000 anon y mou s prize offered for a new Yale
song.
This prize was placed in compe tition
during the latter part of th e university year, but
the committee of a w a rd , appo inted by the chair
man of the Yale A lu 1l\ni Advisory Board, de
cided that no on e of the 162 manuscripts sub
mitted deserved th e prize.
The new comp e tition, whi c h wil1 close on
iday I, 1924, will be divided into two parts. The
first part, which w ill con tinu e until January I,
1924, is open to Yale a lumni and s tudents on ly
and is fnr ·w ord s on ly. O n Janu
