STARTS CAMPAIGN ON "JONAH"
Eliza Doyle Smith, Song Publisher, Starts Ex-
tensive Campaign on Latest Song, "Jonah,"
Described as a Whale of a Song
CHICAGO, 111., April 14.—Eliza Doyle Smith, well-
known song publisher of this city, with head-
quarters at 59 East Van Buren street, has
started an extensive campaign on her latest
song, "Jonah." The song is rapidly coming to
the front by virtue of its unique name, title page
and the catchy melody and lyric. Many dealers
are exploiting the number through striking win-
dow displays which the name and title page
suggests. •
In addition to rapidly spreading in this coun-
try, the number was secured by L. F. Collins,
Ltd., ot Melbourne and Sydney, Australia and
New Zealand, who are responsible for the Aus-
tralian sales. This company is equally enthusi-
astic over "Jonah," for they are promoting the
number with special signs and dealers' helps in
very attractive set-ups.
Mr. Smith has written a number of other suc-
cessful numbers' which are advertised as "Our
Lucky 13—including ' J o n a h . ' a whale of a song."
Among these are "I'd Give It All for You,"
"In Candy Land With You," "Honey," "Dance
Me on Your Knee," and "Sweet Norah Daly."
BEE TEE COMEDY ON EDISON
Edison is out with the first release of Eddie
Cantor's big comedy hit, "Keep It Under Your
Hat," from "Make It Snappy." The Atlantic
Dance Orchestra and Robert Denning and
Chorus recorded this number for Edison, and
both releases are being featured, especially in
the Fifth Avenue Store, New York, where Man-
ager Bolan has arranged a very attractive win-
dow display showing a gigantic hat, surrounded
by Edison records.
This number, which is published by Bee Tee
Publishing Co., is rapidly becoming popular all
through the trade and will be released shortly

by all mechanical companies. Their new ballad,
"Grand Daddy," is also getting a play in all
sections of the country,! and from present in-
dications has hit possibilities. ';
"SUN SHOWERS" GOES TO BOSTON
"Sun Showers," the new musical comedy in
which Harry Delf is featured, recently closed
at the Astor Theatre, New York, and will open
at the Wilbur Theatre, Boston, Mass., on April
30. The principal songs in this production are
"Everyone Is Beautiful in Someone's Eyes" and
"Sun Showers." Leo Feist, Inc., is the pub-
lisher of the music.
Belle Baker, the singing comedienne, now
appearing in the leading Keith vaudeville the-
atres in the metropolitan district, has added to
her repertoire the Leo Feist, Inc., ballad, "Cry-
ing for You."
