rangements of the two latter numbers are quite
popular with orchestras and several favorable
comments from leaders have been received by
the publisher congratulating them on the caliber
of the numbers and the arrangements released.
Everett J. Evans, general manager of the New
York office of the company, is making an active
campaign to interest vaudeville singers in the
above numbers. The result has been that many
performers are programming these songs and
they should be heard frequently on vaudeville
programs during the months to come.
In issuing orchestrations of its popular prints
Hearst Music Publishers, Ltd., has printed two
numbers in one orchestration. This seemingly
meets with the general approval of orchestras.

Following the appointment of George A.
Friedman as general manager of Jack Mills,
Inc., this enterprising publishing firm makes the
further announcement that Joe Mittenthal, head
of the music publishing firm of that name, has
been appointed sales manager of the company.
Under the terms of the contract the Mills or-
ganization takes over the Joe Mittenthal, Inc.,
catalog, which includes such songs as "I'll Take
You Home Again, Pal o' Mine," "Tell Her at
Twilight," "The Fire Laddies," "The French
