STEINWAY HALL : NEW YORK
My dear Mr. Tremaine:
On behalf of myself and my associates I
extend to you my hearty congratulations on this, the occasion of
Twenty-fifth anniversary as President of the Aeolian Company.
I avail myself of this opportunity to
express the great satisfaction the house of Steinway feels in the
success of the alliance made with the Aeolian Company by my
predecessor, Mr. Charles Steinway.
The selection of a player action to be in-
corporated with the Steinway Piano, was a matter of importance.
It is obvious that only the best could be considered and many
months were spent in investigations here and abroad before a
final decision was reached and your instrument chosen.
As the years have passed, the wisdom of
the selection has become more and more apparent and it is with
genuine pleasure that I congratulate you on your latest achieve-
ment, the Duo-Art reproducing piano, unquestionably the
greatest instrument of its kind in the world.
It is equally pleasant to refer to the cor-
dial relations which have been added to and cemented by the
passing years.
With sincere regards, I am,
President
