The third edition of "Chauve Souris" is now
in rehearsal and it is announced that that classic
composition, "The Parade of the Wooden Sol-
diers," is to be included in this newest offer.
The number will again have an elaborate stage
setting, which will include "The Marriage of
the Wooden Soldier." The soldier who is to
marry is brought on first, followed by the regi-
ment as guests, and performs its inimitable drill
which has, since its premiere, been one of the
features of these performances. The staging
of the number thus is followed by the appear-
ance of a miniature, six-year-old soldier, who
cleverly mimics the wooden soldier drummer.
"The Parade of the Wooden Soldier" is pub-
lished by the Edward B. Marks Music Co.

played at the Claridge Cabaret for midnight

Sol Zaleb, who heretofore was unknown, has
in one season achieved much prominence. His
wise selection of melody numbers, particularly
of the fox-trot variety, seemingly met the ap-
