Portland, Ore., Theatre, Inaugurates "Remick
Song-hit Night"
PORTLAND, ORE., April 27.—Clyde Freeman, the
manager of the Portland Remick Song Shop, is
lining up the prominent movie houses to feature
the Remick hits. The latest house to he listed is
the Star Theatre, which started this week to
feature them and will put on what it calls a
"Remick Song-hit Night" each Tuesday. This
is announced on the screen at every performance
during the week, "with no raise in the price of
admittance."
The new songs in the Remick catalog are also
being sung by local musicians at the theatre.
As an introduction Harold S. Graham, baritone,
sang "When Shall We Meet Again?", which
was illustrated with slides, and "Yoo-Hoo" was
snug, and both made great hits with the audi-
ences.
"I Dream I Hear You Calling" (Marshall)
and "My Lady" ((irant), two new Boosey num-
bers, are proving very popular and are being used
on many recital programs, according to Maud
McCauley, in charge of the sheet music depart-
ment of the McDougall-Conn Music Co.
NEW ARRANGEMENT RELEASED
Jack Mills, Inc., has released a special arrange-
ment of the song, "Queen of the Orient." The
number is being featured by a long list of orches-
