SAN FRANCISCO, CAL., July 16.—Sherman, Clay
& Co. will shortly announce two new fox-trot
songs for early Fall release.- They are entitled
"Smilin'" and "Have You Forgotten?"
E. 1*. Little, head of the publishing depart-
ment of the above house, who recently returned
from the East, made the following comment re-
garding the Chicago convention of the National
Association of Sheet Music Dealers:
"I was extremely gratified at seeing so many
new faces in the Chicago convention. They
were important men who had not attended pre-
vious conventions. If the sheet music dealers
throughout the country only realized how much
it meant they would all make it a point to be
there."
The road force of the sheet music department
recently held a conference mapping out plans
for a big Fall campaign to be inaugurated upon

Paul Biese, well-known orchestra leader, has
just placed with the Triangle Music Pub. Co. a
new fox-trot ballad, "Right or Wrong," written
in collaboration with Haven Gillespie and Arthur
Sizemore. The publisher will exploit the num-
ber on a large scale.
WITMARK NUMBER A HIT
One of the outstanding numbers in the new
musical show, "The Snapshots of 1921<" is called
"Every Girlie Wants to Be a Sally." This song
is published by M. Witmark & Sons, and from
