HARRIS EXPECTS HIT IN "ROAMING'
New Fox-trot to Be Played by 15,000 Orchestras
in All Parts of the Country
Fifteen thousand orchestras will soon be play-
ing "Roaming," the new fox-trot published by
Charles K. Harris, because that number of or-
chestrations will be distributed to add to the
popularity of this tuneful dance sensation
Charley Straight, whose fox-trot, "1 Love You.
Sunday," is rated among the three best sellers,
and Roy Bargy are the composers. "Roaming"
appears on the advance music roll bulletins and
is to be released on records very shortly. It
is a simple theme—"easy to remember and im-
possible to forget"-—and, according to the dic-
tum of the dance lovers, it will be one of the
hits of the coming season.
NEW REMICK NUMBER
Jerome H. Remick & Co. have purchased the
publication rights for the new Lee S. Roberts
song, "Broken Moon," and it is understood will
ixploit the number on a large scale.
C. K. CARKNER'S NEW POST
C. K. Carkner, sales manager of the S. S.
fCresge's State street store in Chicago, recently
joined the staff of the Broadway Music Corp.
It is understood that he will assume the posi-
tion of general manager.
