Loyal B. Curtis, of the well-known publish-
ing nrm of Van Alstyne & Curtis, Toledo, ().,
recently spent a number of days in New York
City. While here he gave particular attention
to arranging plans for some unusual publicity
in behalf of the firm's song, "Some Little Bird."
This number, which is at present leading the
catalog of the company, has either been re-
corded or is booked for early release by prac-
tically all the talking machine record and music
roll manufacturing organizations. It is quite
popular in orchestra circles and with the new
publicity plans as arranged by the publishers it
is expected that "Some Little Bird" will be one
of the big numbers of the early part of 1921.
SONGS FROM THE PACIFIC COAST
In recent seasons it has been quite usual to ex-
pect new songs from the Pacific Coast.
Churchill, Young & Co., 218 South Broadway,
Los Angeles, Cal., have just been added to the
list of publishers in that active territory. Some
time ago they announced a song entitled "Sit-

ting on the World With You," which has had
some popularity in the vaudeville field and which
an excellent dance number. Recently
