OPPORTUNITY
"Opportunity knocks but once" for those who
only sit and wait, but for those who go out after
business on an intelligent basis, prosperity is
assured.
1921 is here. Some of us face it with a trepidation
akin to that we felt on the occasion of war being
declared, and on the occasion of strikes in our own
and other industries.
Forget it! 1920 was, in the main, a prosperous,
successful year, and 1921 is in the main going to
be a good year also. What the country needs right
now is the same kind of courage that made us
victorious in the war. As watch-words for 1921,
we suggest "Courage, Confidence, Optimism,
Intelligent Effort."
Jot down the names of a dozen concerns who, for
the next three months, operate on a policy of
courage, confidence, optimism and intelligent
effort. Then list twelve concerns that do not
operate on this policy. Refer to these two lists
one year from today, and we'll guarantee that
every concern in the first list will have had a
prosperous 1921.
