Carl Fischer, the well-known New York pub-
lishing and instrument house, recently released
a new ballad, entitled "Do Dreams Come True?"
The music is by B. Sherman Fowler and the
lyrics by Richard Lovell.
At a recent appearance at the Strand Theatre,
Brooklyn, Franceska Catalina, the well-known
soprano, sang the song with so much success
that she announced it as another "Kiss Me
Again." Other well-known singers featuring
this number are Max Schneider, the popular
tenor, and Sara Janee.
The following letter was recently received by
,the house of Fischer, in regards to this new
number, from Carman Pascovu, of the Chicago
Opera Association.
"I wish to thank you for the song 'Do Dreams
Come True?' by Richard Lovell and B. Sher-
man Fowler, which 1 received a short time ago.
It is simply exquisite. I am already using the
song in concert It never fails to score big and
you may be sure that I will give it a prominent
place on my programs for j^uite some time. 1
only wish I could buy the exclusive concert
rights to this delightful number."

MARKS CO. SECURES "SALOME"
W. C. Pplla, the well-known composer and ar-
ranger, who has been a member of the staff of
C. C. Church & Co., of Hartford, Conn., during
the past two years, and who has been very
active as New York manager of that organiza-
tion, recently severed his connections with that
company.
The Edw. B. Marks Music Co. has forwarded
an announcement to the trade that it has secured
the publishing rights 1o the European musical
success "Salome," composed by Robert Stol^.
The publishers secured the American rights
through Frank Smithson, a well-known stage
director. It is said that "Salome" has enjoyed a
sale abroad of over a half million copies.
