GRANT EGE VISITS GOTHAM
Al Jones, producer of the musical show,
"What's in a Name?' 1 was recently made de-
fendant in a city court action brought by Milton
Ager, the well-known song writer, to recover the
sum of a little over a thousand dollars, alleged
to be accrued royalties covering a period from
May 17 to June 24, 1920. In the papers of the
Ager action it is alleged that Jones personally
guaranteed the payment of royalties, which,
however, is lefuted in Jones' answer.
T. B. Harms & Francis, Day & Hunter, the
well-known music publishers, have acquired the
publishing rights of a new* number by Vincent
Rose, entitled "Now Is the Time," the lyrics
of which are by Richard Coburu and Arthur
Jackson. The number has shown up well in
several tryouts that it has been given and the
above publishing firm is planning to exploit the
number on a large scale.

E. Grant Ege, manager of the music depart-

said: "The general situation shows a steady im-
provement and all indications point in the direc-
tion of an increased demand for sheet music
during the Spring months. At no time has

sale. Most works of this caliber are only short-
lived, whereas 'Twelfth Street Rag' remains in
good favor. 'Sweet Love,' owing no doubt to
its being a melody that is of the type that is in
vogue at present, is published both in song and
dance form. 'Underneath a Dreamy Oriental
Moon' is coming along in good shape, and 'Col-
leen o' Mine,' an Irish ballad, has really become
a standard."
