ceives Order Through the Air
Chappell-Harms, Inc., have inaugurated a spe-
cial campaign covering several channels of pub-
licity in behalf of their waltz success, "Where
the Lazy Mississippi Flows." The number has
shown many indications of duplicating the suc-
cess of the firm's waltz of last season, "On
Miami Shore."
The publishers have issued a three-colored
window hanger on this new number, which is
being forwarded to the trade upon request. This,
together with the co-operation it is receiving
from the leading orchestras of the country and
other plans arranged for exploiting this waltz,
should add materially to its sales.
The recent record-breaking airplane mail de-
livery from coast to coast brought to the New
York office of the Vandersloot Music Co. an
order for the song, "Dreamy Hawaii." This
number is from the pens of Ray Sherwood and
F. W. Vandersloot. The home office of the
Vandersloot Music Co. is in Williamsport, Pa.
The Harrison Music Co., whose executive of-
fices are in Detroit, Mich., and which operates
over one hundred music departments in the
syndicate of metropolitan stores, recently opened
a New York office on the third floor of the
Strand Theatre Building, and late in March the
inain offices of the company will be moved from
Detroit to new quarters at 1650 Broadway, New
\ ork City, which are now undergoing extensive
alterations.
Barrie Bloedon was recently appointed man-
ager of the publicity and mechanical reproduc-
tion departments of the company, and is now
actively in charge of the same.
