Announcement was recently made by Irving
Berlin, Inc., that they have closed negotiations
with Will Jacobs, familiarly known as Bill, a
well-known traveling man in publishing circles,
to represent them. Mr. Jacobs for a great many
years was the traveling representative of the

during the comparatively short time of its ex-
istence has been far above expectations, and
as numbers of great salability are being con-
stantly added, the necessity of having able sales
representatives to look after the dealer's inter-
est has caused the Berlin organization to look
forward to adding someone to their staff who
could assume the responsibility in western and
southern territory. This they feel they have
succeeded in doing.

Joe Morris Music Co., making frequent trips
over southern and west of the Mississippi ter-
ritory. He is well known among the dealers
and probably is one of the most liked repre-
sentatives of the publishers. He will represent
Irving Berlin, Inc., on his old stamping grounds.
Saul Bornstein, general manager of Irving Ber-
lin, Inc., is very enthusiastic over the acquisi-
tion of Mr. Jacobs to his organization, and pre-
dicts that the catalog of Trving Berlin, Inc.. in

Jerome H. Remick Will Publish Numbers From
Musical Show "As You Were"
"As You Were," the musical show, featur-
ing Sam Bernard and Irene Bordoni, recently
opened in Philadelphia at the Lyric Theater in
that city, and according to newspaper reports
was a big success. This is an English show by
Arthur Wimperis, with music by Herman Da-
rewski, and with additional music and lyrics
by E. Ray Goetz. The musical numbers in-
