The White Way Trio, featuring in Ned Way-
burn's Revue, now playing the Capitol Thea-
tre, New York, is programming the McKinley
Music Co.'s song "Floatin' Down to Cotton
Town." This number is one of the biggest suc-
cesses of the McKinley catalog and together
with "Pickaninny Blues" and "Sweet Hawaiian
Moonlight," is leading in point of sales.

merit. The publishers think so well of the num-
ber that they are immediately starting a big
campaign giving it publicity. While both the
lyrics and the melody are of a high standard
the whole has a popular appeal and seems to
be a song of much promise. Herewith is shown
part of the thematic of the chorus which will

Harold Dillon left late last week for Chicago,
where he will spend a number of weeks as a
representative of Richmond the Publisher. His
work will be in both the sales and professional
ends. He will feature the song and instrumen-
tal successes "I Know Why," "Somebody," "Just
Another Kiss" and "Time Will Tell," all of
which are very popular just now.

poser, aged eighty-two, died at his home, 296
Manhattan avenue, New York, last week. Dr.
Penfield was formerly organist of the old Broad-
way Tabernacle and was at one time president
of the Music Teachers' National Association.
