THE COMING CONVENTIONS
Sheet Music Dealers and Music Publishers to
Hold Conventions During Month of June
The National Association of Sheet Music
Dealers will hold its seventh annual meeting at
the McAlpin Hotel, New York, on June 14 and
16. On June 15 the annual meeting of the Music
Publishers' Association of the United States will
be held at the Astor Hotel, New York. Either
on June 17 or 18 it is proposed to hold the an-
nual outing of the Greater New York Music
Publishers' and Dealers' Association, to which
all the visiting dealers then in New York will
be invited to attend.
A formal notice of the annual meeting of
the National Association of Sheet Music Deal-
ers, including a list of the subjects that will be
discussed at the convention, will be forwarded
to the members of that body at an early date.
According to the secretary of the Association,
the coming gathering will be the largest in the
history of the Association. Certainly the deal-
ers have had a prosperous twelve months, and
when the benefits to be derived from the attend-
ance and the constructive work of the body are
considered, the trip is certainly worth while.
The Association is making a big drive for
membership, and any information regarding the
organization can be obtained by addressing J.
M. Priaulx, C. H. Ditson & Co., New York.

I]. D. Nice & Co. are making a big drive in
trade and professional circles on their song and
fox-trot, "Wond'ring." A recent circular sent
to the trade reproduces some of the Saturday

BERT FELDMAN IN TOWN
Bert Feldman, head of the English music
house of B. Feldman & Co., is one of the recent
arrivals from London. While in New York he
will make his headquarters with Chas. K. Harris.

The International Music Pub. Co., Indian-
apolis. Ind., are the publishers of "Popular
Songs Monthly," issued in the interests of and
for devotees of popular songs. The first num-
ber is already in the mails.
Hinds, Hayden & Eldredge, Inc., the well-
known book and music publishers, who are at
present located at 11 Union Square, New York,
recently let contracts for the erection of a
seven-story building at 3 West Sixteenth street,
adjoining Fifth avenue, New York. The firm
will occupy the entire building, and it will be
most modern in every way.
FEATURING NEW EDITION
New Twenty-cent Catalog of Jos. W. Stern &
Co. Meeting With Success
Jos. W. Stern & C o , well-known New York
publishing house, who some time ago inaug-
urated a catalog of twenty-cent music, follow-
ing the elimination of their ten-cent edition,
arc making a big drive on all their numbers,
and are giving the trade big co-operation. Their
plans and arrangements seem destined to make
their twenty-cent popular edition a success. The
following are some of the numbers in this new
edition: "Whistle Song," by Joe Howard;
"Abadelle," "Anvil Trot," "One Little Rose,"
"A Little Sunshine Makes a Rainbow," and
others.
A new musical comedy called "High and Dry"
will have its premier at Atlantic City on May 10.
It is the work of Messrs. Me Hugh and Paulton,
with music by the late Manuel Klein. M. Wit-
mark & Sons will publish the score.

duplication of bulletins, and to take construc-
tive measures for the general good of the music
business. Reports say that practically all of the
jobbing houses have joined the new body.
