WILL WOOD
233 West 40th St., NEW YORK
The Chicago offices of Waterson, Berlin &
Snyder have been decorated with Japanese mater-
ial, giving them a pagoda effect. Burning incense
and the presence of a Japanese butler also help
to carry out the idea. All this has been done in
honor of their song "Poor Little Butterfly Is A
Fly Gal Now," which is being heavily plugged in
that city under the management of Frank Clark.
Some time ago it was announced in these col-
umns that Ignaz Fischer, the well known music
dealer and publisher of Toledo, O., who recently
passed away, was the father of Geo. and Carl T.
Fischer, of the firm of J. Fischer & Bro. As a
matter of fact, Ignaz Fischer was the uncle of
those mentioned. Joseph Fischer, the founder of
J. Fischer & Bro. and father of Geo. and Carl T.
Fischer, died in 1901.
FEATURING "GOLDEN GATE"
Leo Feist, Inc., some time ago purchased the
song "Golden Gate" from the "James Boys,"
Kendis & Brockman, and have been giving the
number some unusual publicity. Included in this
was a full page advertisement in a recent issue of
the rotogravure section of the New York Sun-
day Tribune.
