JOE HOWARD'S NEW HIT
Joe Howard is the happy possessor of still
another real song hit to add to his already long
string of successes. Up at the Riverside the
latter part of the week the popular singer-com-
poser broke the new one in with most satisfy-
ing results. "Once Again" is its happy title,
with a suggestive sub-title that takes in a coup-
let from the refrain: "As the grass needs the
rain, so I need you once again." The song
was written by Howard in conjunction with I.
B. Kornblum and Z. Myers. M. Witmark &
Sons publish "Once Again."

It is understood the "Dancing Widow," a musi-
cal show which will shortly appear on Broad-
way, has a number of songs of much merit.
These include "Oh, You Dancing Widow,"
"When the Right Man Comes Along," "Have a
Dance With Me" and "When the Honeymoon Is
Over." The book of the piece is by Charles
Horwitz, who is also responsible for the lyrics,
and the music is from the pen of Geo. Rosey.

REVIEW
It is reported that George Friedman, who
recently disposed of his interests in the firm of
McCarthy & Fischer, after having been with
that house since its establishment, is about to
enter the publishing field on his own account
and will locate in the Times Square district.
Gilbert & Friedland, Inc., are making a big
campaign on Wolfe Gilbert's song, "Granny."
The number is being featured by a long lisi
of vaudeville professionals.
