Resumes Traveling for Hinds, Haydn &
Eldredge Upon Discharge From Service
Charles R. Warfel, who was the traveling rep-
resentative for Hinds, Haydn & Eldredge, Inc.,
prior to his entry into the United States Army,
was recently discharged from the service and
is again on the road for that house. Mr.

States, and a recent report from him shows that

Stasny Music Co. Inaugurates Strong Campaign
for New Ballad
One of the feature songs in the advertising
campaign for the month of May inaugurated by
the A. J. Stasny Music Co., and which includes
a full-page advertisement in the Saturday Eve-
ning Post, issue of May 17, is a ballad entitled
"Tears Tell" (The Story to Me), This number,
while only recently released, is one of the
leaders in point of sales in the Stasny catalog.

Warfel enlisted as a private in the Medical
Corps of the army and his services were quickly
recognized and rewarded until at the time of his
discharge lie held the rank of first-class ser-
geant.
While very anxious to see service in France
he, like many others, was not successful in be-
"She's a Good Fellow," a new Jerome Kern mu-
sical comedy, with the book and lyrics by Anne
Caldwell, opened at the Globe Theatre on Mon-
day evening of this week. The production is
presented by Charles B. Dillingham, and Joseph
Santley, of musical comedy fame, is the star of
the cast, which is completed by such well-
known figures as Olin Howland, Ivy Sawyer.
Ann Orr, Arline Chase, Scott Welch and others.
The show was well received, and the music
came in for some specially enthusiastic criti-
cisms from the daily papers. From all present
indications its Broadway run will last far into
the summer.
Probably the biggest song success is "I've
Been Waiting for You All the Time," which is
closely followed for first honors by "Just a Lit-
tle Line." Other numbers that will probably
register as successes are ".The First Rose of
Summer," "Happy Wedding Day," "Jubilo,"
"Oh, You Beautiful Person," "Teacher, Teacher"
and "Some Party." The score is published by
the T. B. Harms Co.
"YEARNING," A NEW DANCE HIT
"Yearning," the fox-trot by Neil Moret, is be-
ing featured at the Biltmore Hotel. Dorothy
Dickson and Carl Hyson, the well-known ex-
ponents of the terpsichorean art, who are
playing an engagement there, dance to its
strains. Special scenery and other effects have
been provided, and through this medium "Yearn-
ing" has become the hit of every dance. This
number is also issued in vocal form and a num-
ber of concert stars are programming it. It
is published by Daniels & Wilson, Inc., and has
been placed in their 30-cent catalog.

It is understood the orders already booked for
the song run into the hundred thousands, and
from the present indications the publishers ex-
pect the number to sell well over a million.
Herewith is reproduced the title page of
"Tears Tell." The number is published in four
colors and is one of the most attractive ever
given to a popular song. The trade is finding
it one of the most successful numbers for dis-
play purposes, and many dealers are featuring
it in full window displays.
"Mending a Heart" is the title of a new high-
class ballad published by Gilbert & Friedland.
