The Law Decides That the
Only Genuine Decker
Piano Is Made by
DECKER & SON
NEW YORK
Again have the courts decided that a man has the exclusive
right to the use of his own name, and that the commercial value of
that name created by years of artistic achievement belongs to him,
and may not be appropriated by others.
The Superior Court at Chicago has ruled that the only Decker
pianos that can be rightfully so called are those that have been made
by us since 1856, and a permanent injunction has been issued against
the Decker Bros. Co. of Chicago, forbidding them the use of the
Decker name.
It is our intention to continue to protect the Decker name, as for
62 years we have protected Decker quality. And the musical public
who rely upon the established reputation of Decker pianos can de-
pend upon getting the genuine, for it is our intention to bring court
action against anyone else who uses the Decker name on a piano.
Made by a Decker since 1856
