HIRTY years ago this
month, Wilhelm Bjur
created the first Bjur Bros.
Piano. A piano-maker of the old

school, who studied the piano-craft
at the bench in the most noted American factories, he had a vision of
the ideal piano; a piano that was to include all that was best in scien-
tific piano making, artistic tonal qualities and refined appearance; a
piano which by reason of the economies effected by modern manu-
facturing facilities, could be sold at a price that the average buyer
could afford to pay.
That first piano was a quality piano—and every successive Bjur Bros.
Piano has maintained the quality standard established by Wilhelm Bjur.
In the years that have followed the Bjur Bros. Piano has been im-
proved. The craftsmen gathered together by Bjur Bros, were ever
striving to better the art product of their hands. Many patents were
granted for improvements afterwards adopted by piano manufacturers
in general, until Bjur Bros. Pianos have attained a position of promi-
nence by sheer force of merit alone—a position recognized by piano
merchants throughout the trade.
