MUSIC OF THE MONTH—(Continued from page 15)
Balakirew's transcription of Glinka's "The Lark";
a wonderful piece of piano playing. Miss Vol-
avy is on hand with her interpretation of the
third and fourth movements of the Liszt piano
concerto in E flat. She contributed the first
two movements to last month's bulletin. Messrs.
Cutchin and Whittaker present classic numbers,
and the usual popular offerings are made by
Sterling, Berge, Kmita and the other Rythmodik
artists in this special line. We append a rep-
resentative selection:

IMPERIAL PLAYER ROLL CO.
A feature of the very interesting list of hand-
played records issued by the Imperial Player
Roll Co. for May is Chopin's "Prelude Op. 28,
No. 16," played by Ossip Gabrilowitsch in his
usually commanding style. There are also four
excellent numbers played by McNair llgenfritz
—a "Japanese Sunset," by Deppen; "Serenade,"
by Drigo; "Concert Paraphrase of Valse Des
Fleurs," by Tschaikowsky, and a dainty novel-
ette entitled "Water Lilies." The Jazz com-
positions continue to be in great favor, and

The Autograph bulletin, issued by this com-

Mendelssohn's famous "Rondo Capriccioso," by
no less a person than Leopold Godowsky. The

their efforts to interpretations of the popular
dances and songs, while the perennial popularity
of the Italian opera is counted on to add Vic-

found in great variety, and the regular straight-
