JEROME DONATESJX) ACTORS' FUND
The Win. Jerome Publishing Corp., in con-
junction with the Misses Campbell, are giving
the Actors' Fund a royalty of 4 cents on every
copy sold of their song, "You Are as Dear to
Me as Dixie Was to Lee." The above song has
been sung for some time by the Misses Camp-
bell, and has been exceptionally well received,
not only for the sentiment and spirit connected
with the words, but for the melody itself.

THAT President Wilson has consented to have
the song, "I Love You California," played by
the United States Marine Band in the Inaug-
ural Parade.
THAT as the President's official song, the num-
ber should beat some records in sales.
THAT Earl Carroll has added a new song to
the "So Long, Letty" show entitled "Oh, You
Baby Vampire."
THAT Leo Feist, Inc., have acquired the mu-
sical rights to "Theodore & Co.," now playing
at the Bandbox Theatre, New York.
THAT it seems to be a race now between bal-
lads and novelty songs for the season's su-
premacy in songdom.
THAT at this writing the novelty songs have
a little the best of it, but ballads are always
slow starters and good finishers.
THAT Wm. Jerome is quite pleased with the
progress his firm has made.
THAT starting out with "Sometime," a hit in
the "Betty" show was not enough for Jerome,
but he follows it with "Turn to the Right"
and "Come Over Here, It's a Wonderful
Place."
