HE purpose of factory effi-
ciency is to get a given job
done faster, done cheaper,
done better. Economies in
time and money are not enough.
There must be a gain in quality.
Throughout the Simplex plant
you see examples of this three-fold
factory efficiency. You see it par-
ticularly in the Simplex automatic
trimming machine.
This machine performs 8 opera-
tions, including the trimming of both
sides of the pneumatic, squaring of
both ends, beveling of two corners,
boring of two holes. Then it gives
the pneumatic a parting shake to
throw the dust out.
