many more of these at the front, all their full
salaries would be paid while they were in the
service of their country.
Former presidents of the club, J. A. LeCato
and Mark P. Campbell, made some interesting
extemporaneous remarks as did John H. Parn-
ham. The committee reports submitted by the
various committee chairmen showed progress
of the right character.
Several of the students of the Danquard
Player Action School, hailing from Wisconsin,
Kentucky and other distant points, commented
on the wonderful work this institution is doing
in disseminating proper knowledge on the
structural side of the player action and ex-
pressed their gratitude at having an opportunity
to study at the school under such very favor-
able auspices.
The evening's program closed with an un-
usually entertaining series of current event
moving pictures and exceedingly humorous
comedy films.
At each plate at the dinner there was placed a
copy of a booklet of patriotic thoughts, written

Session Held on Monday Evening of This Week
Full of Enthusiasm—Some Excellent Ad-
dresses Made—Committees Make Good Re-
ports of Work Which Is Under Way
The first fall meeting and banquet of the
Progress Club, of the Kohler Industries, was
held at the Associated Industries restaurant
last Tuesday evening, September 11.
The
meeting was of a rousing character and augured
well for the subsequent banquets and meetings
of this very excellent organization. There was
an attendance of eighty-nine members and also
a large delegation of Danquard Player Action
School students.
The president of the club, George W. Git-
tins, presided, and touched on the many wel-
fare work activities which have been instituted
for the benefit of the employes, such as free
hospital service, medical attention, the bonus
system, etc. Mr. Gittins also referred to the
employes of the Kohler Industries now on the
Mexican border, and emphasized that were even

Large Enrollment Expected for Evening Ses-
sions to Start on September 25
The evening classes of the Danquard Player
Action School, at 604 West Fifty-first street,
New York, will be resumed on September 25,
and the sessions will be held on Monday,
Wednesday and Friday evenings of each week,
from .7.15 to 9.15' p. m., with chief instructor
George E. Martin in charge.
It is believed that a large class will be en-
rolled this year in view of the interest taken
in the evening classes last season and the bene-
fit derived by the scholars from the instruction
offered.
Last year there was an average at-
tendance of forty students in the night ses-
