Boat Ride Concludes Conventions 5 Social Activities
New York Piano Manufacturers' Association Entertains Visiting Dealers and Their
Ladies on Mosf Enjoyable Sail up the Hudson at Close of the Recent Conventions
The biggest and best convention which was
ever held by the National Piano Manufacturers'
Association and the National Association of
Piano Merchants and the National Piano Trav-
elrs' Association was fittingly brought to a
close on Friday last when the members of
the associations and their friends were taken for
a sail up the Hudson River on the palatial
steamer "Albany" and given a chance to in-
spect the United States Military Acadamey at
West Point, as the guests of the New York
Piano Manufacturers' Association.
The smoothness with which the affair was
conducted manifested the care which had been
taken by the committee to see that everybody
would be as comfortable as possible. The com-
mittee was composed of Albert Behning, J.
Harry Shale, George W. Gittins, George Doll
and R. W. Lawrence. These men greeted the
guests at the pier at the foot of West Forty-
second street from which the Albany sailed at
9.30 A. M. The boat also stopped at West
129th street, where a large number of guests
also went aboard. As far as the weather was
A. Goodale, in his airship, flew from Palisade
Amusement Park, directly over the "Albany"
and dropped pinks on the boat. As the air-
ship hovered directly over the vessel the sign,
"The Brambach Baby Grand, the Pink of Per-
fection" was plainly visible on the bottom of
the airship. This feature created great interest
and a loud cheer arose from all those who
watched it.
The day had been such a success that every-
body extended congratulations to the committee
who had charge of the arrangements.
Among those who attended were: Miss Allen,
