THE MUSIC TRADE REVIEW
Co-operation and what it
has meant in an acoustical
sense to piano manufacturers
Co-operation is a word which enters closely into our everyday lives, and in
all departments of business co-operation is extending to every branch of trade.
There has been always evidenced on the part of the American Steel & Wire Co.
a desire to co-operate'with piano manufacturers in every possible manner.
This great corporation has had at all times a corps of expert acousticians engaged
in -the scientific solution of problems which it would be impossible for the small
piano manufacturer to solve successfully.
Gradually, the piano industry has realized the helpfulness to them of this co-
operation on the part of a great producing corporation.
Few people have a comprehensive idea of just how the directors of the American
Steel & Wire Co. have sought to perfect their product and the vast educational
work which has been found necessary to win the distinct triumph which the
entire musical world has at last conceded to be theirs.
For many years this company has fought steadfastly to establish a standard for
American Piano Wire which should be the world's standard, and some of the
most famous piano houses in America have recognized the position fairly won by
this great wire product.
The absolute uniformity, tensile strength without hardness—wire that vibrates so
evenly throughout when actuated by the proper amount of energy, that rich-
ness and brilliancy result, has been the accomplishment of this great corporation
in the domain of musical accomplishment.
Visitors to the Panama Pacific Exposition will find that a visit to the great edu-
cational exhibit of the American Steel & Wire Co. will be productive of great
interest.
'
The exhibit fairly illustrates what this corporation has accomplished and will
give an idea of its varied resources, all of which are at the command of piano
manufacturers.
