Speaking of the vitality of names associated with
various industries, it may be truthfully said that none in
any trade can approach the piano in point of continuous
interest. The piano name is seen and discussed by every
member of the family, and in this connection did you ever
think of the cumulative value of the name Chickering,
which, for ninety years, has appeared upon the fallboard
of pianos of the highest grade?
Consider the thousands who for generations have listened to the sweet
tones of the Chickering piano! And all of the cumulative value of nine
decades of continuous piano manufacturing—all of the prestige and glory
of the name Chickering constitutes a business asset which may be utilized
by Chickering representatives in every part of the country! They can be
profit sharers in this great name, and they can be aided by its business
impelling power—a power which is greater to-day than ever before, be-
cause critics who are the most competent to judge real piano values concede
that the Chickering of to-day has reached a point of musical excellence
unapproached by the products of bygone years.
That emphasizes one point which should be borne well in mind, and that
is, that progress—investigation—original research and experiment in the
production of perfect pianos have never ceased in the Chickering factory.
It is the same spirit—the same desire to do—thesame aim to perfect—the
same power to accomplish the best musical results possible that is there to-
day. It is the same spirit which the founder, Jonas Chickering, be-
queathed to his successors and it is the same spirit which has become an
inseparable part of the Chickering enterprise.
