The Knabe—the achievement of
generations of skilled workmen
There is in the Knabe product of 1912 a touch of
genius, which, like the finishing strokes of an artist's brush
to a picture, completes and rounds out the whole.
It reveals the grandeur of the musical structure upon
which Knabe reputation rests, and this reputation is the result
of three-quarters of a century of continuous effort.
It is not the result of one man, but rather a legacy of
skill—of technical ability, which has descended from workman
to workman from generation to generation.
Men are at work in the great Baltimore plant whose
grandfathers helped to build the fir^t Knabe. It is that fine
development of hereditary skill combined in a great plant
where hundreds of conscientious workmen are all united to
achieve the highest musical results which have made the
Knabe the best in the world.
The result of this continuous hereditary effort is clearly
demonstrated in the artistic Knabe models of 1912.
