TREBLE
MELODY is the most important part of all music.
To "bring out" the melody PROPERLY, and subdue the accompaniment
PROPERLY, is, therefore, the most important part of piano playing.
•
THE KRANICH & BACH
*' TRI - MELODEME''
(or Triple Solo Device)
is the most complete, practical, musical and personal means of
subduing the accompaniment and "bringing out" the melody.
The TRI-MELODEME has three melody sections—Bass, Tenor and Treble.
TENOR MELODIES, in the middle section, can be "brought out" or emphasized while the bass accompaniment
notes below and the treble accompaniment notes above are properly softened. The same with TREBLE MELODIES
and BASS MELODIES.
These three divisions (original zvith us) were not made haphazard; they are not merely mathematical "thirds" of
the 88-note keyboard ; neither are they the three sections into which the piano scale is constructionally divided. They are
based upon the fundamental principles of melody-writing, as revealed by a thorough, practical and musical study of
many different compositions.
Consequently, they enable the performer to accomplish
an infinitely greater number of truly musical effects than
any "two-division" melody device can possibly do.
Music played upon the Kranich & Bach Player-Piano, therefore,
is the most artistic and "personal"; because neither the melody nor
the tempo is automatic and mechanical, but human and musical.
Special Music-Rolls are not required for the K & B Player-Piano: but TRI-MELODEME (Melody-Marked)
MUSIC-ROLLS, with Special Artistic Tempo Interpretations, are available when desired, and will be found an added
advantage, as illustrated in the above photograph.
THE TRI-MELODEME is only one of many distinctive and superior
features of the Kranich & Bach Player-Piano. We should be glad to explain
the others to you also.
