WM. R. GRATZ OPTIMISTIC.
Returns from Road Trip and Finds Business
Greatly Improved—Only for Politics Things
Would Be Better Still.
Wm. R. Gratz, of the Gratz Import Co., 35 West
Thirty-first street, New York, who recently return-
ed from a three weeks' trip to Pittsburgh, Chi-
cago, St. Louis, Buffalo and Toronto, in a brief
chat with The Review representative said: "It's
my impression that business conditions right now
are in better shape than ever before and I thor-
oughly believe that with the obliteration of politi-
cal muck-raking regarding moneyed interests that
the United States would be enjoying a prosperity
never before approached. With us all I can say
is that I am entirely satisfied and feel confident
that our present volume of business will hold good
right through the season. In Canada," concluded
Mr. Gratz, "the outlook is especially pleasing, even
more so than in this country, and indications point
to a banner year."
Mr. Gratz looks the picture of health and good
spirits and insists that he feels as he looks.

MIRA VOCAL TUNE SHEET.
Important Improvement Being Introduced by
Lyon & Healy in Connection with the Mira
Music Box—W. A. Sambalino's Good Trip.
W. A. Sambalino, of the Eastern office of Lyon
& Healy, Chicago, who returned recently from a
trip in New England, reports conditions as gen-
erally good in the cities he visited, with bright
prospects for even better things to come.
At the Lyon & Healy showrooms, 415 Broad-
way, there is on exhibition the latest model of
the Mira Grand music box. This instrument was
first demonstrated at the Musical Show in Madison
Square Garden in 1907, when it was used as an ac-
companist for four celebrated singers and made a
decided hit. Since that time Lyon & Healy, real-
izing the possibilities of the instrument, have per-
fected it and are marketing a new tune sheet,
called the "Mira Vocal Tune Sheet." These rec-
ords are arranged with regular song introductions
and have the verses printed on the disc, thereby
making it possible for those who lack playing
ability to have in their home a player and accom-
panist that is always ready with a repertoire of
popular and standard songs. The Mira Grand, in
design and construction, is truly beautiful and will
prove an ornament to any home. The price o/
the instrument, including twelve tune sheets, is
$160. It is equipped with tempo regulator and
other modern devices for perfect control.
CATALOG OF WEISS HARMONICAS.
The new catalog of harmonicas issued by Ch.
Weiss, Trossingen, Germany, manufacturer, is be-
ing mailed to dealers and jobbers. The instru-
ments are illustrated in colors, showing every de-
tail of packing and construction. The catalog
is arranged in a manner to be of the utmost as-
sistance to prospective purchasers and is fully up
to the high standard of the Weiss product.

Lyon & Healy, of Chicago, 111., are putting out
a new catalog of American professional cornets
and trombones. This line has met with much fa-
vor from bandsmen everywhere, and the catalog
will give such data and illustrations regarding
them as will prove of interest.
Down on 16th street the house of M. Hohner is
sailing along and enjoying a great degree of pros-
perity. Harmonicas are among the headliners with
them, especially with the No. 260 Chromatic. This
instrument is attaining a great popularity. "Merit
Wins" is one of the Hohner principles, and a whole
lot of merit is embodied in No. 260 Chromatic
harmonicas.
Ands Koch, 296 Broadway, is as optimistic as
ever. All branches of his business are booming and
give great promise of a banner season.
