Gustave Schirmer, secretary of the corporation
of G. Schirmer, New York, died Monday in Bos-
ton, after an operation for appendicitis. He
was forty years old. Mr. Schirmer went to Bos-
ton on a business trip, intending to return the
following day, but he was suddenly taken ill.

eling in Europe for three months, and it was her
