to be considerable. London prices are reported
to be about 3 cents above this market on fine
wools, which are not particularly wanted here,
There have been some small sales of Australian
crossbreds, and there has been moderate demand
for fine merinos at practically previous prices.
As to actual price changes, there have been few
weeks of late when there have been less fluctu-
ations. The market is a t a standstill both in the
territory and fleece sections, as growers are still
asking higher prices than the same grade of
Australian wools would cost, so that it is imprac-
ticable to do business on such a basis. About 30
cents is being paid for extra fleece wool in Ohio
and 29 cents in Michigan, but in other sections
more is asked, and it is stated that anything over
30 cents would be above the Boston market.

On the Way to Isaac I. Cole & Son—Expect
It to Cut Into Choice Veneers.
Isaac I. Cole & Son, of Eighth street and the
East River, have on the way to this country a
large lot of that much prized wood, Circassian
walnut, which they anticipate will cut up into
some very fine veneers. This will be a piece of
good news to the case makers who have a demand
for that wood. At the present time they have in
their warerooms one of the finest lines of hard-
wood veneers that they have ever displayed, and
to those that know the reputation of this house
for choice veneers, this means a great deal. Geo.
Cole said to The Review the past week: "We are
in a position to supply the most critical customer,
and have a stock that for variety and quality will
be hard to equal anywhere. A piano manufac-
turer who is looking for something of a very
high quality cannot fail to be pleased with the
assortment that is offered here. Of course the
choice woods are not being given away, but the
stock we carry is worth all that is asked for it."

The Glidden Varnish Co. state that the in-
terest shown in Skin-Cote at the Washington con-
vention was remarkable. A number of piano
manufacturers who have never -tried this cele-
brated varnish called at their parlors and vol-
untarily stated that they wanted to know all
about it, as so many of their competitors were
using it, and dealers recommending it, that they
intended' to give it a trial.
Already several manufacturers, who have
never used it, have placed orders and the pros-
pects are good for a large increase in the use of
Skin-Cote, which is now being used on nearly
half the pianos turned out in the United States.

Holland. A violation of this agreement is met
with a fine of $10,000. All orders received are
forwarded to the syndicate's head office, at which
place they are divided.
This agreement is to remain in force for three
years unless abrogated by a majority of the con-
tracting parties. Their competition with the
manufacturers of Germany is very keen.
C. L. WILLEY OPENS IN NEW YORK.
C. L. Willey, the large Chicago, 111., veneer
dealer, has opened a wareroom at 120 Avenue D,
New York, where he will display a full line of the
samples of stock carried in the warerooms in Chi-
cago. This new place of business is right in the
heart of the East Side veneer district, and will
undoubtedly attract many of the buyers who visit
that section.
L. D. & E. L. Beil, Beloit, Kans., have removed
their music store from the Bunch Building on
North Mill street to a fine location on Court street.

Future scanning projects are planned by the International Arcade Museum Library (IAML).
