Newcomers in publishers' row, Twenty-eighth
street, are Conn & Fischer, who have started in
modestly. They claim to also figure in Chicago
as their Western end. Several concerns from
that burg, ambitious for a New York connection,
have faded away, but others appear to fill the
void.

pianoforte music arrangers in the country, and
although it is impossible for us, at the present
time, to make any definite announcement regard-
ing the folio itself, I can only say that, by secur-
ing the services of Mr. Rosey for the arranging
end, we have now made this folio as strong as it
can be, as the table of contents will show when
published later. In addition to this particular
book, we have several others in view which Mr.
Rosey will also edit for us. The strongest thing
I think I can say about this folio is that I be-
iieve it will have as proportionately great suc-
cess as 'The Most Popular Home Songs.' This
is that new folio of ours published February 9,
which has already reached a sale of fifty thou-
sand copies. In mentioning figures as large as
tnese in connection with a book I always feel
pleased to know that anyone who has followed
the success of this work knows we are giving
facts, not the usual popular music publishers'
fiction. A detailed announcement regarding this
folio will be made in a few weeks."

.1. H. Remick & Co. have purchased from John
T. Hall "Murmuring Waters," "Concert Waltzes,"
"Idle Hours," a novelette; and "Dreams of the
Violets," a graceful measure. It is predicted the
sales on these numbers will be enormous.
Rose Bush, a recent convert to vaudeville from
the concert stage, made her debut at Tony Pas-
tor's Theatre with Eddy Rosenbaum's love song,
"My One Beloved," and Lowitz & Blumenthal's
summer song success, "Hello, Peaches." Her re-
sponse was certainly flattering, to say the least,
and the songs were sung in a musicianly manner.
Madame Normann is booked to play Proctor's
Fifth Avenue Theatre during Easter week, and
will feature the summer song success, "Hello
Peaches."
