A magnificent tribute is paid the Weber piano
by the leading artists of the Metropolitan Opera
Co. in the very striking and unambiguous testi-
monials reproduced above, and of which the
Weber Piano Co. can, with full justice, feel
proud. The opinions of these eminent artists—
the most critical judges of piano tone to be found
the world over—are worthy consideration, because
they emphasize afresh the magnificent position
won by the Weber piano in the musical world.
And we may say that its fame is destined to
be augmented materially during the trip which
the grand opera artists are now making from
here to California, for at all points visited they
will use Weber pianos, and this selection cannot
fail to have a decided influence on prospective
piano purchasers from the Atlantic to the Pa-
cific. The great success won by the Weber at
the grand opera last year has been more than
duplicated during the season just closed. This
is not only apparent in the testimonials above
reproduced, but by numerous others, which are
in the possession of the Weber Piano Co.
Another important matter worthy of especial
mention is that many of the grand opera artists
have selected Webers for their European homes.
This tribute to American art is something of
which this country can feel proud, because the
selection is made by artists who are acquainted
with the greatest artistic efforts of the world's
leading manufacturers of pianos. Indeed, the
selection of the Weber affords further proof of
the great advance which this country has made
in the polite arts, and the increasing prestige of
our products in the old world.
It would be invidious to select any of the testi-
monials above recorded regarding the Weber, but
one cannot overlook the words of Alfred Hertz,
one of the great musicians and conductors of the
world, who says: "I have subjected Weber pianos
to the most rigorus tests, using them continu-
ously and, it is now my earnest conviction that
in tone, touch and durability, they are unsur-
passed. Their tone is captivating, and it is the
richest pianoforte tone I have ever heard.''
