THE MUSIC TRADE
REVIEW
FOLLOW THE BIG HOUSES.
THEIR LEAD IS SAFE.
Remarkable Growth of the Schaeffer Business.
A BUSY FACTORY.
When many of the largest houses in the coun-
try take the agency for a piano, spend their
money in special advertising, and inaugurate a
steady and aggressive selling campaign, it means
there is something of more than passing note
about the piano—something quite beyond the or-
dinary.
There are so many good pianos made at the
present time, that it is no easy matter to pro-
duce one of musical individuality marked enough
to command instant recognition and secure a
place of distinction in houses of great prominence
in the trade.
In a brief six months' time this is exactly what
has happened with the new Schaeffer piano. This
activity is not localized, but it obtains alike—
East and West.
But the time and work—hard experimental
work on tone production—that it took to get the
new goods ready to offer the trade, was twice six
months, but it. has paid, for at the present time
(as during each of the six months since the new
goods were placed on the market) the business
is growing in volume, until to-day the factory
is taxed to the limit of its capacity to produce
enough new Schaeffer pianos to fill the demand.
We are making a bid for the dealer's cash, and
in return give the biggest piano value obtainable.
