ing brass instruments shown and described
in the several Gratz catalogues. Several
handsome glass cases are filled with these
instruments,which show to great advan-
tage. There is also a large exhibit of ac-
cordeons, notably the "Imperial," for which
the Gratz firm are the sole agents. Trade
conditions continue to be satisfactory.
J. W. STERN CO.'S CIRCULAR.
A new special circular of considerable
size and profusely illustrated, containing
their holiday inducements, has been sent to
the trade this week by the musical mer-
chandise department of Tos. W. Stern &
Co., New York. These various special is-
sues, devoted to certain lines will eventual-
ly be collected into one large catalogue,
that will deal with their entire line, of
which a heavy stock is carried. In ac-
cordeons alone sixty numbers figure, in-
cluding their latest novelty a blow ac-
cordeon and other goods in like ratio. The
firm expects to remove into their new build-
ing to be erected in 38th street, just off of
Broadway, as soon as the present leases ex-
pire ; and then ample room will be provided
for the small goods department, the busi-
ness of which lias trebled during the past
vear.
