'MUSICAL TERMS DEFINED."
[Special to The Review.]
Boston, Mass., Oct. 2.7, 1903.
The White-Smith Music Publishing Co.
have brought out, in handy and attractive
booklet form, a compilation by B. M. Davi-
son of all the German, French, Italian, Latin
and Spanish musical terms in general use,
with concise definitions of all the terms given
in the work.
The title of the booklet is "Musical Terms
Defined." It contains, besides the terms
themselves, their derivations and definitions,
a list of abbreviations of terms used in music
and a complete series of abbreviations, by
signs, of the musical "graces."
The publishers of this small but important
work, which will be found most useful by
composers and teachers, report that they have
sold over 15,000 copies of "Musical Terms
Defined" from sample pages alone.
