of interest to many. Other compositions of
his were "A Western Cyclone," "The Egyp-
tian Mummy Dance," "The Lily of the Nile"
waltz and "In Nature's Garden."
He was also a successful business man and
the combination had made him a prosperous
man. He recently sold out the catalogue of
Leo E. Berliner Co. to Jos. W. Stern &
Co., and had signed with that house for all
his future compositions.
Mr. Berliner leaves a wife and son. He
had only said good-bye to them at his home
at 180 St. Nicholas avenue, this city, a few
hours before his death. He left them in the
best of health and the shock is a great one to
Mrs. Berliner, who is prostrated. To her
we extend our deepest sympathy.
FROM HERE~AND THERE.
May Courtney, who is playing one of the
principal parts with "A Bunch of Keys"
company, is featuring Jerome and Schwartz's
great comic song hits; "Mister Dooley,"
"When the Stars Are Shining Bright" and
"O'Brien."
The Witmarks have a big professional
department, and among the many good men
with them is Henry W. Armstrong. Mr.
Armstrong is a composer of decided ability.
His biggest hit was "The Story the Violets
Told." His latest success is "Just a Line
from Jennie." It is a big seller.
The great Henry and Gallot, the most
popular song illustrators in the profession,
are featuring to great advantage the comic
coon oddity, "Three Strikes Out," respond-
ing to four and five encores nightly. They

We present a likeness of the English
Pony Ballet, who are one of the feature acts
in Klaw & Erlanger's colossal production
"Mr. Bluebeard" at the Knickerbocker Thea-
tre, New York City.
They have played all the leading music
halls in London and were brought to this
country by Geo. W. Lederer for the Sire
Bros, productions, "The Man in the Moon"
and "From Broadway to Tokio," both of
which had a successful run at the New York

Casino, after which they returned to Lon-
don to play principal parts with Geo. W.
Lederer's "Casino Girl" company, which had
a long run at the Shaftesbury Theatre.
On their second trip to this country they
went into vaudeville, and have played suc-
cessful engagements at all the leading vaude-
ville houses in the country.
They are eight clever singers and dancers
and possess that gift of voice and beauty not
equalled by any other act of its kind.
They sing the best of songs obtainable, in-
cluding Jerome and Schwartz's new songs,
"Just Kiss Yourself Good-bye," "Susie An-
na," and are at present using a new instru-
mental piece written expressly for them by
Jean Schwartz entitled "Th* Pony Ballet
Dance."
All the above numbers are from the cata-
logue of Shapiro, Bernstein & Co.
