April 30th is arranged for as the time for
filing'the answer of Chickering & Sons in the
case of suit brought by Theodore P. Brown
for alleged infringement on the "kicker" pat-
ents.
John D. Evans, of Newby & Evans, re-
turned on Saturday from a satisfactory trip
through the New England States. He found
the firm's representatives well pleased with
the instruments received. They were unan-
imous in their expressions of approval.
Decker & Son had on view when The
Review called for news on Wednesday, two
perfect examples of the Decker small grand,
one in figured walnut, the other in figured
mahogany. They have been shipped this
week in response to orders. Several other
grand shipments are in active preparation.

PURCHASE STANLEY PIANO FACTORY

Peterboro, Can., April 10, 1903.
The stock, plant and machinery of the
Stanley piano factory here have been sold
to a Toronto gentleman, who is said to rep-
resent a piano firm in that city, which will
reopen and conduct the factory on an en-
larged scale. The creditors of the company
will get seventy-five cents on the dollar, or
fifty cents if the bank's claim ranks as prefer-
ential
