THE MUSIC TRADE REVIEW

THE "SMALL GOODS" TRADE
Fiddler's Knife.
We give herewith a cut of a neat, useful
European novelty which is being offered to
the trade by William Tonk & Bro., of this
city. It is a tool in the shape of a knife
which cannot but prove a valuable acquisi-
tion to any professional or amateur violin-
ist. The handle contains a knife with a
file on each side of same. This is intended
for trimming and filing the bridge to fit
specialties recently produced at the Holtz-
man factories. Among them is the Duet
Cabinet Bench, shown on this page. It is
exhibited as it appears when closed and
when open. The smaller of the two shows
the top raised, the box exposed being in-
tended for sheet music. The new Holtz-
raan catalogue contains many interesting
designs and not a few novelties likely to
find favor among all who have good taste
in such matters.

the instrument. A string gauge for meas-
uring the strings and a pair of plyers
which is intended to conveniently draw the
strings through the holes of the pegs.
The whole is not larger than a lady's
knife and is made in two styles. One has
a Mother of Pearl handle and the other
Ivory handle. Both are very pretty and
neat. William Tonk & Bro. are offering
the same to the trade at prices which make
them available to every one. Dealers will
do well to send for a price list of this and
other novelties which William Tonk &
Bro. are always offering.

The Review had a brief talk on Monday
with C. N. Martin, who succeeded the firm
of Neppert & Martin in New York repre-

An another page will be seen an illustra-

new "Deweylin Harp" styles recently
placed on the market by Menzenhauer &

of late in The Review, is the invention of
Mr. Menzenhauer, and is certainly one of

Each of the four styles is already in
