A BIG THING FOR THE TRADE
The Wonder Self-Composer
(PATENT APPLIED FOR)
Not a toy, but a remarkable invention by which any
person can write hundreds of different marches (two=
step) for piano or organ without previous knowledge
of musical composition. Read what great composers
sav about it:
FRED N. INNES:
JOHN PHILIP 50USA :
" I t is an unique and marvelous in-
vention."
"The most clever musical device I
have ever seen."
D. W. REEVES:
ALESSANDRO LIBERATI:
" I congratulate the inventor. The
SELF-COMPOSER is all that is claimed
for it."
"An instructive and meritorious in-
vention that should create a large
demand."

received. Here is an example. Marga-
rethe von Mitzlaff, head of the "School of
Vocal Art," Northampton and Springfield,
Mass., writes:
" It affords me much pleasure to state to
you my great satisfaction with the ' Baby
Grand' you have sent me. My delight
is daily increasing to own one of such ex-
cellence. The mechanism is admirable;
the action light and elastic, promptly an-
swering to all shades of touch, from the
most delicate to the strongest. The tone
of this instrument is sonorous and pure,
as well as round and full; and I congratu-
late myself daily for having purchased
this one. Thanking you for the pleasure
and increasing delight this piano will af-
ford me, I wish likewise to send you my
best wishes for your deserved success."

Regarding the fair recently held in
Wheeling, W. Va., the Intelligencer, of
that city, says there is no exhibit along the
main thoroughfare which has received
more attention than that of the F. W. Bau-
mer Co., and at no point along Exhibitors'
Row have the people congregated so
densely each evening as they have in front
of this booth. From early in the after-
noon until the lights go out in the evening
the most pleasing music is rendered and it
seems that the crowd never grows weary
of it.
A feature of Baumer's display, and one
which has attracted general attention is
the introduction of the Pianola, an instru-
ment used for playing a piano or organ
with the same delicacy of touch and as per-
fect as a person playing.
Another new feature is the iEolian, an
automatic instrument with a tone equal to
that of an orchestrion and very beautiful.
Since the fair opened, several of these in-
struments have been sold, and while they
are comparatively new here, they promise
to become quite a fad.
During the week, the Baumer Company
has made a special display of pianos,
organs, etc., at their sales rooms on Mar-
ket street, where hundreds of people have
called and have been entertained during
the day. The Baumer Company is the
oldest music house in Wheeling and the ex-
cellence of the goods handled and sold is a
guarantee of its reliability.

POSITION DESIRED.
A competent man who has had an extensive experi-
ence for many years in every branch of the piano busi-
ness, desires a position. Understands the art of selling
pianos, settling up accounts and all matters incident to
the piano business. Is willing to begin upon a small

muneration later. Local position preferred. "Results,"
