More about the king—the king of musical instruments,
the piano ? Why not turn an idle moment into the
development of a knowledge which means self-advance-
ment? There are thousands of salesmen who have only
a superficial knowledge of the piano and still they talk
it daily. They pose as authorities, when in reality they
are too often novices in piano construction. A little

Musicians, too, should know something about the mys-
teries of the action. It would make them better musi-
cians. Young tuners need a correct technical work;
old tuners as well, for that matter; and the work to
which we refer has the endorsement of the National
Tuners' Association. It is concise, clear, comprehen-
sive—written by Daniel Spillane, the author of "The
History of the American Piano-forte," and the best
technical writer this trade has ever produced. The title
of the work is "The Piano;" the price is one dollar,
delivered to any point in North America. Illustrated
and cloth bound, of course.
