The New England Style 2, 1897-8, has rich
hand-carved panels of unique original de-
signs. The etched paneling, with handsome
carving, appears in Style 3. One of the hand-
somest case designs of the New England Co. 's
products this season is seen in Style 5, the

This week's visit of The Review to the
Pease factory has been fruitful of results in
several ways. If there ever was any doubt
—the Review has never heard any such doubt
expressed—as to the popularity of the "Popu-
lar Pease Piano," a glance at the immense
factory and observation of the frequency of
shipments would dispel them.
There are all the elements necessary for
success, both in the piano itself and in the
man on whom the responsibility rests for
proper style, construction and tonal qualities.
No man has worked more persistently, syste-
matically and conscientiously to achieve well-
merited success, and he deserves to be warmly
congratulated for having placed on the market
strictly reliable and highly creditable examples
of the piano-maker's art.
It is reported that business is good, both
wholesale and retail. Letters from individuals
and from the many Pease agencies are cheer-
ful in tone and healthy in purport. Mostly,
they call for renewal of supplies, and that
means, of course, quick sales and good
prospects.

these instruments. The stock now being ex-
hibited is very fine. Style 1, shown in five
woods, has elegantly etched desk panels and
its proportions give a pleasing effect to the
eye.

SOMETHING OF THEIR NEW FACTORY OCCUPY
FIVE FLOORS AND BASEMENT 25 X 1OO FT.
During the tour of West side factories and
warerooms this week,The Review called at the
new factory of the A. B. Cameron Piano Co.,
551 West Fortieth street, for items of interest.
Mr. Rothenstein, Mr. Cameron's business
manager and a member of the firm, reported
progress and an excellent outlook. On his
invitation, The Review paid a brief visit to
the factory buildings and is glad to report
that in addition to securing very light, well
ventilated and desirable quarters, Mr. Cam-
eron has lost no time in preparing for the big
business which is evidently within his reach,
if the program the firm has laid down for it-
self—a creditable standard of merit at rea-
sonable figures—be faithfully followed.
The firm occupy five large floors and a
deep, solidly built basement, each floor being
25 x 100 feet. At present the necessary ma-
chinery and fittings are being placed on three
of the floors. The other three are already
fitted up and the men are working busily in
the several departments. There is a good
stock of cases and supplies, and in every other
way the indications for a good record are
very favorable indeed.
The Jesse French Piano & Organ Co. have
opened a branch store in Chattanooga, Tenn.,
at 605 Market street. This has been ren-
dered necessary owing to the increase in their
trade in Chattanooga and surrounding terri-
tory during the past year.
