THE MUSIC TRADE REVIEW.
AFFIDAVITS of defense have been filed
in six suits brought by the Automatic
Music Co., Pittsburg, Pa. They were to
recover the price of music boxes which the
company claimed to have sold to local de-
fendants. The answers are all alike. The
claim is made that no purchase was in-
tended, but that an agent of the company
made an agreement by which the music
boxes were to be left in the care of the de-
fendants as the property of the plaintiff
company.
THE large new dry house at the Weaver
Organ Works, York, Pa., will be finished
this week.
THE John Church Co. are going to make
a splendid display of their wares at the
Atlanta Exposition. The Everett piano
with the Plectraphone attachment, and the
other well-known specialties of this house,
will help make their booth most attrac-*
tive.
AMONG the "hundred inve ntions wanted'
by Edgar Tate & Co., Patent Solicitors,
245 Broadway, N. Y., are "an automatic
music leaf turner" and "a new stringed
musical instrument." Mr. Tate says that
a fortune can be realized from any one of
these inventions—perhaps!
IT is said that Herman Krell, of the
Krell Piano Co., Cincinnati, O., will join
the ranks of benedicts the coming fall.,
