Phelps & Lyddon.
WELL PREPARED TO FILL ORDERS FOR NEW
AND OLD CUSTOMERS.
P
HELPS & LYDDON, manufacturers
of piano cases, Allen and Platt streets,
Rochester, N. Y., have now fully recovered
from the effects of the recent fire at their
factory. The damage was not near as ex-
tensive as at first reported, and was fully
covered by insurance, which was readily
adjusted. They have secured additional
floor space in order to handle the business
which is coming their way from old cus-
tomers, and are now prepared to take new
contracts. They have a large supply of
kiln-dried stock on hand, and a magnificent
line of mahogany and walnut veneers.
We are pleased to see this reputable house
so well prepared to handle orders for fall
trade; yet it is not surprising, for since the
fire they have only displayed that push and
vigor which has already built for them
such a large and growing business.
Weaver Employees Capture

T
HE employees of the Weaver Organ
and Piano Co., York, Pa., ran an ex-
cursion from that place to Washington, D.

through Baltimore City on trolley cars to
Camden Station of the B. & O. R. R.
About eight hundred people participated,
and, being favored with delightful weather,
the entire event was most enjoyable and re-
flected credit on the parties having the mat-
ter in charge.

o
C. KLOCK, the well-known dealer,
Oswego, N. Y., has accepted an en-
gagement as road representative with the
Chase Bros. Piano Co., Muskegon, Mich.,
and is at present on the road. Mr. Klock
was formerly connected with this house in
a similar capacity. During Mr. Klocks'
absence his business at Oswego will be
managed by Geo. Van Coughnet, his broth-
er-in-law.

Editor Bill in Town.
DWARD LYMAN BILL, the author,
and editor of THE MUSIC TRADE RE-
VIEW, was in town for a few hours one day
last week. Mr. Bill's visits are few and
far between, but he is always a welcome
visitor, and his many friends in Dolgeville
wish he would come oftener. An evening
with Lyman Bill, listening to his admira-
bly told stories, is one to be remembered,
and one that inspires hopes of another visit,
Unlike most prolific writers, Mr. Bill pos-
sesses rare ability as a raconteur.—Dolge-
ville Herald.

popular as a pianist, spent the summer in
the West, where he gave several concerts
(in Kansas) and used the Henry F. Miller

during the coming season, but has many
engagements for concerts, not only in New
England, but in some cases outside of the
New England States.
