TRADE IN CINCINNATI.
CINCINNATI, NOV. 15th, 1880.
TOUR among the music-stores reveals a state of encouraging activity.
The holiday trade promises to be unusually heavy. Mr. Rudy, of
A
Wurlitzer & Bro's., declares that the Knabe factory can scarcely supply in-

struments as fast as he—expects to sell them ! The small instrument trade
of Wurlitzer & Bros, is very large.
Baldwin & Co. are rushing out the Steinway. Geo. Armstrong, upon
whose shoulders rest the good-looks of the house, assured me that business
was never more brisk.
(ESTABLISHED 1856,)
At Church & Co. 's I found Charlie Geiger grinding a new-fangled organ-

an " Emerson " at this house during his stay in town, and had it sent to his
sister, in St. Louis.
Geo. I). Newhall & Co. are devoting all of their strength to publishing.
Their "Science of Music," by Challoner, is meeting with good success, large
orders coming from Boston and other eastern cities. Mr. Newhall is one of Endorsed by all the Prominent Artists, Musicians, and Critics
our popular concert bassos, and is deservedly popular as a business man

Mr. Smith, of Smith & Nixon, is rapidly recovering from what it was at
one time feared would prove a fatal illness. His son has been admitted to
the firm, and is managing affairs satisfactorily.
